Damon finally stepped in before the situation could spiral any further.
“Luna Lylah just returned from weeks of exhausting work. She needs rest, not a house full of guests.” His gaze shifted directly toward Tiara. “And you know exactly what happens when you’re around your friend You will talk for hours. Luna won’t get any rest at all p>

Lady Juniper’s voice carried the unmistakable edge of a she-wolf defending her own.
Damon visibly froze.
His mother’s eyes narrowed. “Let Tiara do whatever she wants p>

“Tiara is worried about her friend. That isn’t a crime. Besides, Luna is perfectly capable of deciding what she wants p>
Damon looked betrayed.
Unfortunately, no one seemed interested in supporting him.
Vargan waved a dismissive hand. “Exactly. We can all stay tonight.” His eyes brightened.

Lylah hesitated.
The truth was that she didn’t mind. These people had become precious to her. Their presence filled the penthouse with warmth she had never experienced growing up.
Part of her genuinely wanted them to stay. Yet as her gaze drifted toward Ezra, her heart tightened. She saw something she hadn’t expected.
Not annoyance. Not frustration. Something far worse.
Pain.
“Lylah?” Vargan prompted gently. “Don’t you want us here p>
The question left her completely torn.
Before she could answer, another wave of pain crashed through Ezra.
His vision blurred. A violent pressure squeezed the inside of his skull. It felt as though invisible claws were scraping against bone.

His jaw tightened. His hands curled into fists. Instantly, razor-sharp claws erupted from his fingertips The points pierced his palms. Warm blood slid across his skin.
His wolf slammed against the barriers of his mind.
The beast’s roar echoed through every corner of his consciousness.
For days, he had felt it lurking beneath the surface.
The episodes had become more frequent.
More difficult to suppress.
And now, with his control already strained, the pressure was becoming unbearable.

For a terrifying moment, even her scent seemed distant.
Slowly, he blinked his eyes.
The effort alone felt exhausting.

“You can have them over. Spend time with Tiara. Grandfather too p>

“I’ll be at the research center tonight. I just remembered Archer asked me to monitor a few things after 1 returned p>
