The laughter that left Ezra’s lips was warm and utterly unguarded.

Lylah stared at him.
“I would tell you that you’re being ridiculous. No, actually, ridiculous isn’t strong enough.” A smile tugged at her lips. “You’re being very silly, Alpha p>
She reached for his hand. Their fingers intertwined effortlessly.
“After everything we’ve been through together, how could you even ask that?” Her thumb brushed over the heirloom ring resting on her finger. “You placed this ring on my hand. We promised to stand beside each other. There is nothing in this world that could make me willingly leave your side, Ezra p>
Seeing the sudden seriousness on his face, Lylah rose onto her tiptoes and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.

She looked at him with a faith so pure, so absolute, it felt almost sacred.
