Her violet eyes flashed, bright and fierce beneath the corridor lights.

For a brief moment, Rowan simply stared.
Then he clicked his tongue.
They had already crossed boundaries that should have made encounters like this easier.
Yet looking at her now, Rowan realized she genuinely hadn’t come here for personal reasons.
She had come with a purpose.
