The atmosphere inside the penthouse felt noticeably different after Ezra’s departure.
The warmth that had filled the room only minutes earlier seemed to have faded, leaving behind an uneasy tension none of them could quite ignore.

“Thank the Goddess your brain is functioning again.” His dramatic sigh echoed through the
room.
Together, they carried the discussion into the living room where Vargan and Damon’s parents remained gathered.
The old Lord of Moonclaw listened quietly while stroking his silver beard.
When the explanation finished, amusement immediately flickered across his face.
“So Ezra is sulking because he thinks we’ve stolen his mate?” Vargan barked out a laugh.
“Very possessive. But I couldn’t blame him. The boy waited long enough p>
He continued as though no one had spoken.
“I fully support the idea of the two of you spending more time together, my dear.” His expression became suspiciously hopeful as he turned to Lylah. “Who knows? Perhaps I’ll great-grandchildren sooner than expected p>
