Rory’s assistant clutched his phone anxiously, his eyes darting to the wound on Rory’s body. “I know I can’t persuade you, but your wound already opened once, and now you’re insisting on working again. At least be careful, alright? Don’t let it split open while you’re filming.”
Rory glanced at his assistant from behind his sunglasses. He pressed his thin lips together, seemed to think of something, then gave a faint nod.
The crew was stunned to see Rory back on set.
Panicked, the director and producer hurried over to question him. “Mr. Kelly, you’ve only been in the hospital for a few days. Your wound hasn’t healed yet. Why did you come back to shoot so quickly? What if it opens again?”
The director looked genuinely distressed. After Rory’s last accident, a wave of unknown fans had attacked the director online. If anything happened to Rory again, they might not be able to finish the film at all.
“That’s right!” the producer added hurriedly. “We’re only filming scenes with the supporting roles right now. Your parts are scheduled for later. You can go back, rest properly, and return in your best condition to finish your scenes.”
Rory’s gaze turned icy. Too much had happened, and his mind was a mess. He needed something—anything—to distract himself from those painful feelings for a while.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come here myself.”
Hearing that, the director and producer exchanged helpless looks. In the end, they could only swallow their worries and comply.
“Then I’ll have someone do your makeup.”
The director called the stage supervisor over, and Rory was escorted to the dressing room.
Margo was already there, having her makeup done while she studied the script carefully. Sensing movement, she lifted her head. The moment she saw Rory, her eyes lit up.

Rory took off his sunglasses and sat down, giving Margo a slight nod.
He was as indifferent to her as ever, and Margo stared at herself in the mirror, feeling even more frustrated.
The stage supervisor arranged a makeup artist for Rory while also checking the shooting schedule on his phone. As soon as the previous scene wrapped, he would immediately inform Rory and Margo.
“We’ll shoot part 346 later. Remember to read the script.” After that, the stage supervisor hurried out.
Margo lowered her head and read the script, clearly remembering what that part was.
“Ah!” The makeup artist beside her smiled and added, “It’s a kissing scene. Looks like it’s finally time to test your chemistry with him.”
Margo’s ears turned red. She lowered her head even more and pretended to focus on the script.
Even though she was nervous, she couldn’t help looking forward to Rory’s reaction.
Unfortunately, Rory remained cold the entire time, even after they finished their makeup. It was a huge disappointment to Margo.
