“Annabel said she’ll produce a new TV series for me,” Rory replied coolly as he slipped his phone back into his pocket.
“What did you say?” Margo stared at her agent, wondering if she’d misheard.
“What’s wrong?” her agent teased. “Did all that praise go to your head and make you deaf?” She laughed at her own joke, then explained, “The company has decided to support you in every way possible. Because of your recent popularity, you’ve been invited to do guest appearances on several shows. Your schedule will be packed soon p>
Margo’s eyes widened. She was shocked, but also flattered. It had come out of nowhere.
She had acted in productions before, but never anything on this scale. This was clearly a chance for her to truly break through.

“I said it’s Rory,” her agent repeated. “You’ve worked together before p>
Margo sank back into the couch, biting her lower lip. After her confession had been rejected, she had worried they would never work together again. But now they were being paired once more.
She lowered her head and fidgeted with the hem of her skirt. She had to admit it—this news made her happy.
Because of her feelings for Rory, she checked his WhatsApp every day, but she never messaged him. She was afraid of making things even more awkward.
Still, since they worked at the same company, they were bound to run into each other eventually.
And now they would be working together again. Margo was excited, but she didn’t know what to do with herself.
