The employees, aware of her impending engagement to Rupert, playfully teased her as they chatted.
That afternoon, Annabel was in her office reviewing data from an online platform when a knock sounded at the door.
“Come in,” Annabel said.
Rory entered, holding a tablet. “What is it?” Annabel asked, looking up at him.
Since she had handed the new play’s script to the writer, it would be ready in a few days.
“The final edit of Farewell, My Love is nearly complete. This is the sample we just received. You can review it,” Rory explained, swiping the screen to start the sample video before handing the tablet to Annabel.
She lowered her head and began to watch the video carefully.
All the shots were perfect, including the close-ups. Even the scenes that had initially required some post-processing now looked exquisite. They would appear truly stunning on a larger screen.
After reviewing the play’s most important scenes, Annabel was certain of their quality. She nodded with satisfaction before handing the tablet back to Rory.
“The post-production work is excellent. You can prepare to submit the sample to the film festival. If things go well, we could win the gold prize. It would be a tremendous opportunity for our company p>
Rory nodded in agreement. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he tapped his index finger on the desk. “By the way, you haven’t been in the company much lately. I heard Global Film is also preparing a period movie, aiming for the gold award at the International Film Festival. Although their script differs from ours, their reputation in the industry is solid. They have far more experience, with several movies already released across various platforms and cinemas. I suspect they’ll leverage that existing data to their advantage.
