Chapter 1257:
She scratched her head as she shoved the rest of her things into her backpack and hurried to the parking lot.
As expected, Dunn was leaning against his car, watching the exit. The moment he saw Margo, he straightened and walked toward her.
Margo was rushing in high heels. She tried to slow down when she reached him, but she misstepped and stumbled straight into his arms. Her nose bumped against his chest, and she let out a pained groan.
“Careful. Why are you rushing?” Dunn lifted a hand to check her nose, but Margo stood up quickly and covered her face with her palm.
“You must’ve been waiting a long time. I’m sorry—I forgot about our date,” she said, looking at him with an apologetic expression.
“It’s alright.” Dunn shook his head gently, then opened the car door for her. “How was the shoot today p>
“Not bad p>
Margo blinked, but Rory’s face still lingered in her mind.
When she turned back, Dunn’s face was only inches from hers. Startled, she instinctively turned away and blurted, “No p>
“What did you say?” Dunn asked, looking at her in confusion.
Embarrassment rushed through Margo. Now that they were together, moments like this were bound to happen.
With that thought in mind, she pressed her lips together, then leaned closer and shut her eyes tightly.
After waiting for a moment, Margo realized there was no sensation on her cheek at all. Just as confusion crept in, she heard Dunn chuckle softly by her ear.
Margo slowly opened her eyes, bewildered, only to find Dunn smiling at her with gentle amusement.
“Why are you laughing?” Margo asked, suddenly self-conscious. She turned her face away and muttered, “Don’t bother kissing me next time p>

“So you rejected me earlier because you thought I was going to kiss you?” Dunn looked at her, as if he had finally understood what happened.
“I… can’t say for sure,” Margo replied, hearing the teasing in his voice. It sparked a flicker of irritation.
“What were you thinking?” Dunn sighed, helpless, then reached over and fastened her seatbelt. “I was going to buckle you in. I can’t imagine why you’d say no p>
“A seatbelt?” Margo repeated, mortified. Her face instantly flushed a deep red.
Dunn’s eyes softened. “Why are you so incredibly adorable p>
He leaned closer, his voice low and warm, like a soft melody brushing against her ear. “So now… can I kiss you p>
Margo’s heart pounded hard. She could only stare into Dunn’s eyes, watching her reflection grow larger in his pupils.
His kisses were always gentle, as if he were handling something fragile and precious. The lingering sensation on her lips made Margo instinctively draw back.
Dunn leaned against the seat, propping himself with one hand, his eyes still shining with quiet laughter.
Dunn took obvious delight in seeing this bashful side of Margo. She licked her lips slightly, and just as Margo was about to kiss his cheek, a sudden knock sounded against the car window.
