Just then, Annabel’s phone rang. She lowered her head to reach for it, and the man suddenly took off.
“Hey!” Herman immediately sprinted after him.
The man’s behavior made it obvious he was up to something. Keeping her expression cold, Annabel called her assistant at once.
“Tell the security guards to lock down all exits. No one is allowed to leave p>
She remembered seeing the man conceal something under his clothes. He had to be a reporter who had snuck into the company.
Annabel went straight to the monitoring room to search for any trace of him while Herman chased him down.
When Annabel arrived after checking the cameras, Herman was standing outside the hall, breathing hard as he stared at her.

After staring at her phone for a moment, Annabel signaled for the security guards to reopen the gates.

“A reporter? Did he sneak in just to dig up gossip?” Herman looked genuinely taken aback. In his view, reporters like that usually operated out in the open. What could he be searching for while sneaking into someone else’s company?

Annabel didn’t announce the incident to the employees, but word still spread quickly through the company: a reporter had snuck in.
She ignored the rumors and had someone review the surveillance footage again.
In the afternoon, Margo returned to the office. As soon as she heard what had happened, she went straight to Annabel.
