Chapter 1491:
It was probably Rupert. Annabel went to open the door, and sure enough, Rupert stood there, his expression stern.
He had waited for Annabel in the company lobby for a long time. After a fruitless wait, he finally saw the woman who was supposed to meet him bring Margo back to their apartment instead.
Without saying a word, Rupert tilted his head slightly and looked past Annabel—straight at Margo, who was hiding timidly behind her.
Margo’s eyes were squeezed shut, and she didn’t dare move. All she could think about was how intimidating Rupert was.
“Margo has nowhere to stay these next few days, so I brought her here. You…” Annabel began to explain, but Rupert ignored her completely. With a dark expression, he walked straight inside.
Annabel narrowed her eyes at him. What was he up to now?
Without a word, Rupert went into the bedroom and packed several of the suits he wore often into a travel suitcase. Then he left without looking back.
“Hey—where are you going?” Annabel tried to stop him, but he simply brushed past her and walked out of the apartment.
Margo, who had been standing quietly to the side, was dumbfounded. She had never seen Mr. Benton act like this before.
“Uh… Annabel, did Mr. Benton just leave his own home?” Margo asked cautiously.
Annabel stood there, at a loss for what to do.
Meanwhile, Rupert checked into a nearby hotel.
His mood never shifted, and his expression remained unchanged. The front desk staff could tell he was in a terrible mood, so they handled everything with extra care, afraid of saying something that might set him off.
Rupert went straight to his room, suitcase in hand, and sat on the edge of the bed for a while. A few moments later, the doorbell rang.
He lifted an eyebrow. Was it Annabel coming to find him?

Rupert walked to the door. The person outside kept knocking. He deliberately waited before opening it.
To his surprise, it wasn’t Annabel—it was Heather.
“What are you doing here?” Rupert asked coldly.
The truth was, Heather had arranged for someone to secretly keep an eye on Rupert and Annabel. The moment she learned Rupert had left with a suitcase, she didn’t waste any time and hurried over.
Seeing Rupert alone in the room, Heather couldn’t help but smile.
“Rupert, are you all by yourself p>
As she spoke, she shot Rupert a flirtatious look, but he turned his face away. Heather was annoyed. Still, she had expected him to react like that, so she didn’t mind. She walked straight into the room.
Rupert had booked the hotel’s presidential suite, far larger than an ordinary room. Heather looked around for a moment, then turned back and smiled at him.
“Only a room like this is worthy of you, Rupert p>
Rupert ignored her. From his expression, it was obvious he wasn’t pleased to see her at all. With a frown, he asked coldly, “What are you really here for p>
Heather stepped closer and gently reached for Rupert’s hand. “Annabel upset you, so I came to comfort you p>
Rupert’s stomach churned. He immediately yanked his hand back. “Miss Norman, you’d better behave yourself p>
However, Heather had never been the type to care about what others thought. She swayed deliberately, brushing against him now and then, her lips slightly parted.
Rupert was disgusted. He frowned and shoved her away.
“Get out!” he roared.
