The next morning, the air in the Wolfe Hotel Group boardroom was thick with the suffocating stench of stale cigars and impending betrayal.
I walked into the room, my heels clicking sharply against the hardwood floor. Vincent Parrish was already sitting at the head of the massive polished mahogany table — my father’s former Alpha seat.
