After hearing the agency manager’s conditions, Samuel was so furious he felt as if he might burst a blood vessel. He glared at the manager in disbelief and demanded, “Are you kidding me? Who comes up with ridiculous requirements for a qualified tenant? You’re trying to hand the apartment over to Ashton, aren’t you p>
The manager, unfazed, fixed him with a stern look. “These are the property owner’s terms. If you don’t meet them, that’s your problem. Don’t blame others for it! We have other properties available. Take it or leave it. This is a business, not a place for you to throw a tantrum p>
Samuel’s face turned bright red with anger. “This is outrageous! Just wait. I’m filing a complaint against you p>
The manager didn’t flinch and even let out a cold laugh. “Go ahead and complain all you want. Every complaint comes to me, and I can’t exactly punish myself, can I? Now, this is your last warning. If you’re not renting, leave immediately and stop disrupting our business p>
Samuel stood there, trembling with rage. The thought of Ashton securing such a great deal drove Samuel mad with jealousy.
Seeing that Samuel was on the brink of causing a scene, the manager wasted no time and gestured to the security guards at the door. They understood his signal at once. They grabbed Samuel and tossed him out of the agency without hesitation.
The manager then turned to Ashton with a flattering smile. “My apologies, Mr. Baldwin. In this line of work, we have to deal with troublemakers every now and then. I’m sorry you had to see that p>
Without missing a beat, he continued to show Ashton the details of the property, completely unfazed by Samuel’s outburst.
Ashton didn’t pay Samuel’s tantrums any mind. After discussing the rental details, he finally signed the lease.
At that moment, Rosalie and Selena arrived. They glanced around the agency with casual disinterest in their surroundings.

With feigned curiosity, Rosalie asked, “So, Ashton, did you find a place p>
Ashton smiled, aware of what was going on. He could see through the Campbell sisters’ attempt to conceal their connection to the real estate agency. He recalled how Rosalie had taken Selena to park the car earlier. Now, he had already pieced most of it together.
It was obvious that Rosalie had arranged for him to rent such a nice apartment at a low price.
It was most likely her way of helping him without making him feel obligated.
Ashton understood her intentions, so he chose to keep his realization to himself. Even though she didn’t say anything, he felt deeply grateful and would remember her kindness.
He smiled, waved the apartment keys, and said, “I’ve signed the lease. The location is great, and I really like it. Want to come see it? It’s a good opportunity for me to show off my cooking skills p>
Rosalie nodded and turned to her sister. “Selena, let’s go check out Ashton’s new place p>
“Really? Sounds fun! No more of your noodles today!” Selena replied happily.
Rosalie rolled her eyes at her sister’s remark, but a smile tugged at her lips. On her way out, she gave the manager a satisfied nod.
Seeing that the CEO was pleased, the manager let out a relieved sigh.
Before long, they stopped by a grocery store, stocked up on supplies, and made their way to Ashton’s new place.
“You two wait in the living room and get ready for a feast,” Ashton said, eager to dive into the kitchen and show off his culinary skills.
Rosalie smiled. “You don’t have to do it all by yourself. Let me help p>
Without waiting for Ashton’s response, Rosalie joined him in the kitchen.
Selena watched in surprise.
Rosalie almost never went into the kitchen. At home, they usually got by on instant noodles or takeout, and steered clear of cooking whenever possible.
But now, her sister wanted to help in the kitchen? This was definitely out of the ordinary.
Selena had never seen her sister take such an interest in any man before.
Could Rosalie have special feelings for Ashton?
