Ashton merely scoffed and dismissed the money with a flick of his hand. “Do you really think such things can buy my forgiveness?” he retorted with a scornful chuckle.
Drenched in sweat, Ellis turned to his men with a steely gaze and commanded, “Find a way to appease him.” His men, who hadn’t even had the chance to savor a victory, witnessed their leader bowing before Ashton. Realizing their grave mistake, they quickly shifted their attitudes, pleading with Selena for mercy through their tears.
One of them even crawled to Selena’s feet, as if willing to lick her shoes in repentance.
“Stay away from me!” Selena snapped, her voice laced with revulsion. “If you truly want to make things right, write ‘I am a harasser’ across your face and surrender to the police p>
This request struck them as a fate worse than death. Desperate, they looked to Ellis for a way out.
Without a word, Ellis pulled out an expensive lipstick intended as a gift and began to write on his men’s faces himself.

Once they had departed, Selena turned to Ashton, her face lighting up with a grateful grin. “Ashton, you’re a lifesaver! I can’t imagine what I’d have done without you,” she exclaimed.

Not long after, a chic woman with an impressive figure made her way toward the exit, pulling a suitcase. The recent commotion had driven most away, leaving Ashton by himself near the doorway.
Surveying her surroundings, the woman noticed Ashton standing alone and walked over to him.
She sized him up with a critical eye and commented, “You certainly look handsome, but this outfit? This isn’t what we agreed on p>
