Ashton’s brows furrowed tightly. He suddenly grabbed the scar-faced leader’s neck with much force using one hand, slowly lifting him off the ground.
Soon, the scar-faced leader’s face turned red as he gasped, struggling to breathe. The smirk on his face vanished, and his eyes were filled with panic.
But his efforts to struggle were in vain. Upon realizing that Ashton had no intention of letting him go, he finally pleaded, “Please, don’t kill me… We can talk this out.” Then, he ordered his men, “Drop your weapons!” The other thieves slowly crouched down, putting their weapons on the ground.
Upon seeing this, Ashton loosened his grip slightly, enough for the scar-faced leader to catch his breath. He demanded, “Start talking. Now!”
The scar-faced leader coughed violently. He felt very humiliated, but he didn’t dare to get angry. Instead, he started confessing. “That woman came here in the middle of the night and headed toward an old factory warehouse about two hundred yards behind this building. That is such an eerie place.”
Ashton immediately asked, “What do you know about that warehouse?”
