While Ashton was questioning the assassins inside, a tall, slim figure lurked in the shadows outside the hotel. He idly twirled a playing card in his hand while casting a playful glance toward the hotel’s accommodation area.
Fraser had sent him over to confirm the death of the target. But he didn’t want the target to die too quickly, as that would spoil the fun.
After waiting for about an hour and seeing no trace of the assassins, he assumed that they had likely failed.
“Interesting. It seems I need to return and make preparations,” murmured the shadowy figure, ceasing his manipulation of the playing card and departing the hotel area with a sinister chuckle.

While Abrial’s offer seemed thoughtful, Rosalie sensed an underlying intensity in her gaze that suggested there was more to the offer.
Reluctantly, Rosalie looked to Ashton for his input.
