Liam’s unexpected outburst shocked everyone around, and a cold dread settled in Isaac’s stomach. The desolate setting, their numerical disadvantage, and the seemingly inevitable capture only heightened the tension.
In that critical moment, Ashton moved forward, his presence reassuring.
“Why are you scared? I’m here, you know. Ignore his threats.” Ashton spoke with a composed assurance. Comforted by Ashton’s reliability, Isaac felt his anxiety diminish slightly.
But Liam, seeing Ashton’s defiance and apparent disregard, felt his anger reignite fiercely. A malicious sneer twisted Liam’s features as he barked out a challenge.

With a sharp clap of his hands, Liam signaled his intent. The group of hefty men around them, well-versed in such fights, swiftly turned to retrieve an assortment of weapons—steel pipes, baseball bats—from a nearby van, advancing toward Ashton and Isaac with a threatening swagger.
The wealthy spectators, initially drawn to the spectacle, recoiled in horror at the violent turn of events. Friends of Isaac, who might have intervened, held their tongues, now too scared of becoming collateral damage. The consensus was clear. Liam’s inability to accept defeat was driving him to irrational extremes.
However, in such a place, power was the ultimate law. Some couldn’t stand the sight of Ashton and Isaac’s looming conflict, while others, sensing imminent danger, scrambled into their cars and sped away.
Chaos erupted swiftly. Soon, the air was thick with chilling screams that sent shivers down everyone’s spine. The crowd instinctively thought the first scream must have been Isaac’s. After all, he was merely a well-off young man, far from tough, and hardly one to endure a beating.
His scream sounded agonizing. The second scream, they surmised, probably belonged to the handsome racer. His driving was commendable, but against the burly, weapon-wielding men, he stood little chance. Given his slender frame, a fight was out of the question. Then came a third scream, catching those who had shut their eyes off guard, leaving them puzzled about its origin. It didn’t sound like either of the first two.
Curiously, some spectators squinted through nearly closed lids to identify the source of this desperate cry. It turned out it was Liam, the capricious second son of the Black Dragon Gang’s leader. Contrary to everyone’s expectations of a straightforward fight, Ashton was single-handedly driving the Black Dragon Gang into a frenzied retreat. Moreover, Ashton even found moments to casually smack Liam whenever an opportunity presented itself.

Meanwhile, Ashton and Isaac remained untouched, shielded by Liam. Eventually, Liam reached his limit.

Meanwhile, a wave of cheers broke out from behind Ashton.
