Phillip was baffled by Fraser’s actions.
He had braced himself for punishment, yet Fraser had unexpectedly invited him to a party hosted by the Campbell family.
This gesture left Phillip pleasantly surprised, convincing him of Fraser’s high regard.
The invitation delighted Phillip immensely. Not only did it seem that Fraser valued him, but it also presented an opportunity to reconcile with the Campbell family.
Phillip’s previous offensive comments to Rosalie had severed the collaboration between their families, and his father had struggled to mend this rift.
Now, this invitation appeared as the perfect chance for Phillip to make amends and leverage the Campbell family’s influential connections. He couldn’t possibly decline.

With the party just two days away, he meticulously prepared, selecting thoughtful gifts that would surely impress the Campbell family.
On the day of the event, Phillip managed his time flawlessly, bringing along Emalee to the party.
Yet, as he approached the base of South Hills, bubbling with anticipation, he spotted a familiar car in front of him. His excitement waned immediately. It was Ashton’s car. Phillip recalled his significant financial contribution toward the car now just ahead.
He had practically funded Ashton’s purchase of that very vehicle!
As this realization hit him, Phillip’s initial contentment dissolved into intense anger.
He accelerated, pulling up right beside the car in question. A quick glance confirmed his suspicion: Ashton was indeed behind the wheel.
There he was, driving the luxury vehicle Phillip had paid for, on his way to the Campbell family party as well. Phillip’s irritation flared uncontrollably.
He quickly rolled down his window, sneered, and started mocking Ashton.
“Well, well! If it isn’t Ashton. Trying to impress Rosalie, are we? And what do you hope to achieve? Rosalie has Fraser, her childhood sweetheart. No matter how kind she is to you now, you’re nothing but a moocher. She’ll grow weary of you eventually. I’d suggest you don’t waste your time. She’s bound to drop you for Fraser, someone of her own caliber p>
Before Ashton could utter a word in reply, Phillip noticed women in the back seat of Ashton’s car.
These were Selena’s classmates, whom Rosalie had invited to the event.
Phillip, unaware of their true identities and indifferent to finding out, continued his taunting. “Oh, the audacity of you. Spending Rosalie’s money on other women? And now parading them around? Aren’t you scared she will catch on and leave you high and dry p>
The women in the back seat, overhearing Phillip’s derogatory comments, seethed with fury.
However, they noticed that Phillip himself was driving a lavish car and seemed to be on his way to the same Campbell family event.
Concerned that making a scene might complicate things for Ashton, they chose to remain quiet, although visibly upset.
Ashton, preferring not to stoop to Phillip’s level of mockery, was nonetheless perturbed by the discomfort Phillip had caused the women.
