Ashton’s apparent lack of respect for Charlie quickly caught the attention of everyone in the room, sparking a wave of whispered conversations. Rosalie, too, was unsettled by his behavior, assuming that Ashton was unaware of who Charlie was and, therefore, didn’t fully understand the situation. However, with Charlie standing directly in front of Ashton, she found no opportunity to fill him in.
Unbeknownst to her, Charlie was actually pleased to have run into Ashton, the third son of the prestigious Baldwin family. Ashton’s aloofness didn’t faze him in the slightest.
