Observing Ashton step forward, Atley felt a surge of triumph, believing his ploy had succeeded. However, Ashton, sensing something amiss in Atley’s demeanor, remained composed.

Atley scoffed dismissively and countered, “Do you think the cops will get here faster, or will we deal with you first?” As he finished, he narrowed his eyes maliciously, turning to Ashton with a venomous proposal. “But since you’re foolish enough to defend them, I’ll give you a chance. Come with us now, or no one in this room will leave in one piece p>
Ashton let out a chilling laugh, sensing their focus was clearly shifted to him. He realized this encounter was far from straightforward. If that was the case, he decided to see what kind of game they were really playing.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Ashton agreed, his voice unwavering. “Fine. Just ensure you don’t disturb the elder’s rest.” He then turned to Bobby, offering a reassuring glance. “Rest well. I’m just stepping out to handle some trash. I’ll be back shortly p>
As Ashton prepared to follow the ill-intentioned group out of the room, Emalee found herself torn. She yearned to stop him but lacked the courage to voice her fears.

Step out of the car and show me what makes you think you can strut around like a big shot in front of me p>
Atley expected Ashton to cower in fear, to emerge from the car begging for mercy. He had even prepared a string of humiliating jibes and had his phone ready to capture Ashton’s pitiful state.
But to his astonishment, the engine of Ashton’s car roared to life. Without hesitation, Ashton slammed on the accelerator and sped directly toward Atley.
