Ashton’s face darkened, like a storm brewing on the horizon. “Get lost,” he growled, his voice carrying a cold finality.
The men exchanged glances, clearly not liking Ashton’s defiance. Without another word, they lunged at him, intent on showing him who was boss. But it was as though they had thrown themselves against a brick wall. Ashton took them down faster than a hawk swooping on its prey.
In mere moments, they were lying sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain.

The young men writhing on the ground weren’t about to swallow their pride.
One of them spat out a glob of blood and snarled, “Who do you think you are, ordering us around? Do you have any idea whose territory this is? Lay another finger on us, and you’re signing your own death warrant p>
Ashton, amused by their empty bravado, met their defiance with a few sharp slaps, the sound echoing through the air as their cries followed.
Just then, one of the young men spotted his boss, Ellis, in the distance. His face lit up like he’d won the lottery as he threatened, “You’re in for it now. I’m calling my boss p>
Scrambling to his feet, he dashed toward Ellis, who had just arrived at the station.
“Ellis! What a coincidence! I didn’t think I’d see you here at the station,” the young man exclaimed, breathless with hope.
Ellis looked down at his bruised underling, his brows knitting in confusion. “I’m here to pick up a girl from out of town. But why do you look like you’ve been dragged through hell p>
Sensing that Ellis might come to his aid, the young thug quickly whined, “We were just trying to have some fun when this guy attacked us out of nowhere. You’ve got to help us out!” He pointed, accusingly, toward Ashton.

Ellis regarded the train station as his own territory, so when word reached him that his men had been roughed up right under his nose, he was incensed.
He was determined to defend his men, but when he saw the person his lackey was pointing at, his legs went limp instantly. Why on earth did these imbeciles provoke such a formidable opponent?
Overcome with rage, Ellis struck the back of the unfortunate subordinate’s head twice, berating him, “Have you lost your fucking mind? I run this place to keep peace, not chaos. Who gave you the right to stir up trouble p>
Before the man could respond, Ellis seized him by the scalp and hauled him over to Ashton. “Mr. Baldwin, my apologies. It seems I’ve been too lenient with my crew. Thanks for setting them straight. I’ll ensure they’re better controlled from here on,” Ellis declared, a sycophantic grin spreading across his face.
He then produced a stack of cash and presented it to Ashton with both hands. “This is for the ‘lesson fee’ for my guys. Please feel free to school them further, just let them keep their lives,” he added.
