Jason raised an eyebrow at Alicia’s greeting-
“Yeah, it’s been a while,” he said.
He gave her a meaningful look. “Never thought we’d meet again under these circumstances p>
Alicia let out a soft laugh. “Maybe that’s just how fate works p>
Jason snorted, “If you ask me, it’s more like a twisted fate p>
He still remembered that time when Alicia pinned him down and beat him up when they were young.

After that, Jason asked his grandpa to send him to a military camp for two summers, and he even started learning free combat.
When he went abroad, he picked up taekwondo and boxing.
Back then, he was determined to challenge Alicia again and reclaim his pride.
But after he returned home, he never got the chance to run into her.
He’d gotten a lot tougher, but after the car accident, he’s had trouble walking ever since.

She asked, “Mr. Farrell, your assistant called to ask if I was considering joining your company. Let’s talk about it p>
Jason knew she was about to get down to business as soon as she started calling him “Mr. Farrell p>
He said, “Yeah, I saw all that drama you’ve been causing on X.
‘I also heard Thomas is digging up evidence that Starlight Entertainment hasn’t fulfilled its contract with you.
‘I figured you might be looking to break free from Starlight, so I thought I’d see if you’d be interested in joining Lucent Media p>
He added with a meaningful look, “But honestly, I didn’t expect you to show up in person after just one call p>
He was genuinely surprised.
After all, Alicia had always looked out for Nicolas ever since they were kids.
Nicolas was basically the heir of Starlight Entertainment, so if Alicia broke her contract and switched companies, that’d basically mean she was cutting ties with him.
That was the main reason Jason had his assistant reach out to her.
Alicia knew exactly what he was getting at.
She didn’t beat around the bush. “ I’ve already severed ties with the Hammonds a couple of days ago, and with Collin, Maxwell, and Nicolas too.
“I know you’ve been going after the Moore family, and honestly, I’m sick of both the Hammonds and the Moores myself.

Jason’s mother was his father, Adam’s second wife.

Adam truly loved his first wife, and after she passed away, he poured all that love into the son she’d given him.
Jason’s mother came from the elite Atkinson family, and she was famous in their circle for being totally love–obsessed, always chasing after Adam.
Once, when Farrell Group hit a rough patch, Jason’s mother made the first move and reached out to Adam.
She offered to get her family to bail him out, but only if he agreed to marry her.
Adam said yes, married Jason’s mother, and they ended up having two sons with her.

But in the Farrell family, it was different. His birth father didn’t care about him.
Two years ago, Jason and his older brother got into a car crash.
Jason’s brother died instantly, sacrificing himself to shield Jason.
Jason’s legs were severely injured, leaving him paralyzed and stuck in a wheelchair ever since.
After that, Jason took over his brother’s business and even started Lucent Media himself.
He built Lucent Media up from scratch, and in just two years, it was already rivaling Starlight Entertainment.
He constantly targeted the Moore family, and he wasn’t afraid to butt heads with the Farrell family, either.
Before the accident, he was already a big shot in the investment world overseas. He made Austin, the top investor, look like a rookie by comparison.
But after that crash, his whole career took a different turn.
It wasn’t until Alicia teamed up with Jason in her last life that she discovered the car crash had actually been orchestrated by his half–brother.
The Moore family was tangled up in it too,
But when Adam found out the truth, instead of holding Jason’s brother accountable, he covered for Jason’s brother and told Jason to drop the whole thing.

Jason had only really interacted with Alicia when they were kids, but he knew she was the kind of person who loved hard and hated just as fiercely. She was always full of fire and never afraid to speak her mind.
He’d heard bits and pieces about all the crap she’d been through over the past few years.
It looked like the Hammonds and Nicolas had really broken Alicia’s heart, all because of Nicole.
Jason smirked, “So, you want to team up with me as fellow victims now p>
Alicia grinned, “Yep, that’s exactly my plan p>
She got up, walked over to Jason, and offered her hand. “Mr. Farrell, looking forward to our partnership p>
Jason snorted, “Pretty sure I haven’t agreed yet p>
Alicia arched her brows. “Would you really say no to me p>
Jason reached out his hand. “Nope, I wouldn’t. Looking forward to p>
