“With his status and looks back then, if he wanted to get married again, he could’ve picked any young woman he fancied There were tons of girls who would’ve jumped at the chance.
“So why did he go for Mavis? She was just average-looking, had zero background, a messy ex-husband, and a daughter on top of that.
