Just then, Nicole spotted Caleb and the other two as they walked back in from outside

Caleb and the others had no words.

Jett shot back, totally unfazed, “But Nicole likes you, so you’re the one who should do it.”
Nicolas shook his head. “Nope, you do it instead.”
“You do it!”
“You do it!”
Neither of them wanted to take responsibility, just kept passing the buck.
Nicole’s face darkened. ‘What’s their deal?’ she thought.
If they both say they like me, shouldn’t they be jumping at the chance to help? Why are they both trying to shove it off on each other?’ she wondered.
She remembered what Jett had said earlier, so she kept quiet and didn’t reach out to Nicolas.
She decided to give him the cold shoulder and see how he’d react.
She turned to Caleb. “Hey Caleb, you-”
Caleb had been watching the whole mess unfold, but the moment Nicole called his name, he got nervous, afraid she’d ask him to do that nasty blood thing.
That was way too gross for him.
So he cut her off before she could finish. “I’ll go ask the production team for a band-aid.”

Jett said, “Nicole, hurry up and get back to cooking. I’m starving!”
Caleb chimed in, “Same here! Nicole, could you pick up the pace? The smell from upstairs is killing me
Nicolas didn’t say a word, but the look he gave Nicole made it clear he was just as hungry.
Nicole just wanted to drop everything and walk away.
‘Seriously, are these guys all just typical dense dudes?

‘Man, these guys are the absolute worst. No wonder they’re both single. Unbelievable.’
She couldn’t help but glance at Nicolas, hoping maybe he’d actually step up for once.
But Nicolas was even more dense. “Why are you looking at me? I don’t even know how to cook.”
With an annoyed look, he added, “Just hurry up, if you don’t get moving, the other team upstairs will be done eating before we even sit down.”
Nicole was totally speechless.
