Nicole froze at the harsh tone and stopped crying. “How about we talk under the big tree outside?”
She didn’t dare bring Nicolas’s mother to her own room alone-she was afraid she’d get slapped if they were by themselves.
Too many people were milling around the courtyard-it wasn’t a good place to talk.
Nicolas’s mother nodded. “Alright, let’s go.”
As they walked out, Nicolas’s mother saw Alicia and greeted her politely.
Alicia figured Nicolas’s mother was definitely going to ask Nicole who gave her the drug.
Alicia and Jason chose to stay in the courtyard and chat with the others instead of going upstairs.
Not long after, Nicolas’s mother’s assistant walked in and asked Jett to step outside.
Jett didn’t look surprised at all. He just grinned and followed the assistant out.

So it really was Jett who gave Nicole the drug.
Under the big tree, as soon as Nicolas’s mother asked about the drug, Nicole ratted Jett out without a second thought.
