When Alicia and Jason showed up together, everyone looked absolutely stunned.
The real shock wasn’t that they came together-it was that Jason was walking on his own two feet.

So his legs are totally fine now?
Even Caleb blurted out, “Jason’s legs are healed?”
Victor’s expression shifted as he stood nearby.
‘Since when did Jason’s legs recover? How did it happen?
‘Why was I completely in the dark about this?
‘Those idiots I sent to watch Jason are totally worthless,’ he fumed.
Among the older crowd, Jason’s father couldn’t hide his surprise when he saw his son walking in.

When Leo spotted his daughter arm in arm with Jason, a complicated look flickered in his
eyes.
He hadn’t seen Alicia in ages, and honestly, he missed her.
But she was so headstrong-once this unfilial daughter said she was cutting ties, she really
meant it.
Everyone in their circle had a pretty good idea of what was going on with the Farrell family.
Honestly, he didn’t want Alicia getting too close to Jason.

Nicole, standing next to Jett, was just as stunned. ‘How did Jason’s legs get better?’ she wondered, her mind spinning.
But when she saw Alicia, looking absolutely radiant and even more stunning as she walked arm in arm with Jason, Nicole’s face fell.
Nicole had been having a rough time lately. Fans of Nicolas and others had been roasting her nonstop, and all her endorsement deals had fallen through.

The Moore family hadn’t let up on her either, and it was taking a real toll-she looked visibly drained.
But Alicia? Ever since she broke away from the Hammond family, she seemed to be thriving -she was glowing more than ever.
That just made Nicole feel even worse.
The Campbell family’s eldest son Zane personally came over to greet Jason and Alicia.
Soon, a crowd of business big shots gathered around Jason, all asking how he was doing.
But really, they were just trying to figure out if his legs were actually healed-and how the hell that happened.
Jason didn’t bother hiding it. “My legs are all good now. Thanks to Alicia-she’s the one who fixed me up.”
The business moguls were absolutely floored.
They’d all heard Alicia was something of a miracle worker, but nobody ever imagined she could pull off something as impossible as healing Jason’s legs.
Word spread like wildfire through the party.
Victor’s grip on his wine glass tightened-he really hadn’t seen Jason’s full recovery coming.
He shot a glance at the miracle doctor standing not far away with Jett and Nicole.
Then, giving the Hammond brothers a meaningful look, Victor remarked, “Alicia’s really full of surprises, isn’t she?
“Makes you wonder whose medical skills are superior-hers or the miracle doctor’s.”
His voice was loud enough for several people nearby to catch every word.
The middle-aged man standing next to Jett glanced at Alicia, his eyes turning cold.
But the Hammond brothers and Nicolas were too wrapped up in their own complicated feelings to notice.
Maxwell complained, his voice full of grievance, “My hand still hurts, you know.”
It was that hand injury that cost him the match.
But now that Alicia wasn’t healing his hand anymore, he was totally out of options.

Just then, Nicole called out, “Maxwell, if your hand hurts, why not ask the miracle doctor to check it out?”
They were standing close enough that unless they were whispering on purpose, everyone nearby could hear every word.
Maxwell glanced over, looking a little embarrassed. “It’s just a small injury-I’d feel bad bothering the miracle doctor over something like this.”
For some reason, Maxwell always thought the miracle doctor seemed kind of gloomy. He just gave off a weird vibe, and Maxwell really didn’t want to deal with him if he could help it.
Plus, the miracle doctor had already turned down his buddy Nicolas, so he never even thought about asking him for help.
But to Maxwell’s surprise, the miracle doctor just glanced at him and said, “Well, since Nicole asked, I’ll check it out for you.”
Maxwell was basically put on the spot, so he shuffled over, a little embarrassed. “Uh, thanks,
Doc.”
The miracle doctor grabbed his hand, gave it a quick look, and checked his pulse. “This kind of injury can’t be fully fixed. Acupuncture will help with the pain, but that’s about it.
“Just try not to overuse it. Take it easy, and it’ll get better little by little.”
Maxwell gave a wry smile. “It’s just an occupational hazard. Once I retire, I won’t be putting so much strain on it.”
The miracle doctor said, “I’m free tomorrow. Have Nicole bring you over and I’ll give you
some acupuncture.”
Nicole grinned. “Sounds good, I’ll bring Maxwell by tomorrow.”
Lately, the Delaney brothers had been keeping their distance from her, and she’d been racking her brain for ways to get back on good terms with them. This was her shot.
Maxwell glanced at Nicolas, feeling a bit awkward.
