Morning light filtered through the gap in the curtains. When Jane woke up, she instinctively grabbed her phone and saw the new message on the screen.
Her fingers tapped quickly, sending two messages: [What about Seven? Is he staying in Switzerland p>

At that moment, Lucy was rushing through design drafts on her computer. The sound of typing stopped abruptly as she quickly tapped out a reply: [He’s staying in Switzerland! No need to pick me up; the boss has arranged everything. I’ll find you when I’m free p>

Back in Switzerland, Lucy put down her phone and closed her laptop-the fatigue of overtime vanished instantly.
She walked softly into the bedroom. Seven was sleeping soundly on the bed, his small face flushed pink.
Lucy leaned over and placed a light kiss on his soft forehead. She couldn’t resist picking up her phone to secretly snap several photos of him sleeping.
If not for the money, she would have wanted to stay by little Seven’s side like this, never separated for a minute or a second.
She watched him quietly for a long time, then gently turned off the bedside lamp.
Carefully, she nestled close to Seven. The soft scent of sweet milk on him filled her senses as she sank into a sound sleep.
The next day at the airport, Lucy held Seven, unwilling to let go. She rubbed her face against his soft hair, kissing the little person until his cheeks were rosy.
