Fortunately, Tanya Foster didn’t let him down–her eyes flickered, just for a moment.
She liked to believe that after all these years, whatever feelings she’d once had for him must have faded to almost nothing. No matter how much she’d cared back then, surely it didn’t matter
anymore.
But being humiliated like this still hit her right where it hurt.
She knew she was attractive; she’d heard all kinds of comments before. But this was the first time they actually made her feel ashamed.
Rex fully expected her to explode, to jab a finger in his face and let him have it, maybe even slap him like she used to.
Instead, Tanya just leaned against the doorframe and let out a soft laugh. “That depends– how much are you offering? There’s no shortage of men who’d like to sleep with me, you know. ”
Before Rex could recover from the shock of her words, Tanya slipped back a step and slammed the
door in his face.

He asked if she could come to the Wilkinson Group’s Vistapeak Branch when she had time. There was a new medical project that needed her expertise, and he wanted to discuss it with her.
Once she wrapped up her appointments and saw the time, Elissa gathered her things and headed over to Wilkinson Group.
It might have been just a branch office, but Elissa had passed by the Wilkinson Group building countless times. The location was prime, and the architecture was impressive–bold, modern, and impossible to miss.
She didn’t expect to run into a familiar face as soon as she walked in.
