Tanya was a little surprised, though not entirely shocked.
After all, there was still a lot standing between the two of them—namely, a massive blood feud involving her parents.

Seeing Elissa looking like she had just wronged her best friend, Rowan chimed in at the perfect moment. “You’re already here. Stay for dinner before you go p>
He nodded toward the dining table as he spoke.
It was the dinner Tanya had brought.
There was clearly more than enough for two people. She had obviously intended for all of them to eat together, but upon sensing the thick romantic tension in the room, she had tried to make a run for it.

Rowan raised a brow, offering no argument.
Tanya and Rex weren’t the shy types either. Since the offer was on the table, they sat down to eat.
They made themselves comfortable so quickly that it seemed they never truly intended to leave in the first place.

He said it in an almost comical tone.
Elissa was mildly surprised. After all, the Wilkinson family had been desperate to find this daughter for years.
Rowan served Elissa some food while teasing his friend. “Why run? Isn’t this the little sister you’ve been dreaming of for so long p>

He still didn’t want to admit that Marcia was his sister.
With that in mind, he added, “Besides, my eldest sister said she’ll find a chance to run another DNA test p>
No one at the table argued with that.
For a family of their stature, it was only natural to be extra cautious about something like this.
Tanya wholeheartedly agreed. “You definitely should. No matter how I look at it, Marcia doesn’t seem like a Wilkinson at all p>
“So you think our family is pretty great,” Rex smirked playfully, “especially me, right p>
Tanya wasn’t fazed by his thick skin in the slightest. She replied smoothly, “Actually, you don’t really fit the mold either p>
Rowan let out a gloating laugh, which made Rex instantly defensive. “How do I not fit p>
Tanya couldn’t pinpoint it immediately and thought seriously for a few seconds.
