Rex glared at him. “What are you doing?”
“Secondhand smoke lingers,” Rowan said seriously. “Elissa already hates the smell of smoke, and she’s pregnant right now.”
Rex instantly deflated like a dud missile, tossing not only the stub but also his lighter into the nearby trash can.
