Elissa nodded. “Yes.”
“I’ll go with you.”
Rowan continued, asking about Sean, “If you go see Sean again in the next few days, remember to take me with you.”
He had a faint feeling that something wasn’t quite right.
However, since the man hadn’t done anything to hurt Elissa so far, perhaps he was just overthinking it.
Elissa gladly agreed. “Alright.”
After breakfast, Elissa and Rowan left the house together, parting ways in the driveway.
Rowan went to Murphy Group, and she headed to the clinic.
Since she had woken up late for once, she arrived at the clinic just in the nick of time.
Seeing her hurry into the outpatient room, a regular patient couldn’t help but show concern. “Dr. Drummond, slow down. We’re not in a rush.”
In the past, Elissa would often start calling numbers half an hour early, sometimes even earlier.
Now that she was pregnant, her patients naturally empathized with her and understood her difficulties.
Elissa smiled warmly. “I will.”
But she didn’t slow her pace. She strode into the consultation room, swiftly taking off her trench coat and putting on her white coat.
Then, she started calling numbers.
Lydia Miller was there today as well. Even without Lorraine Lynn accompanying her, Elissa recognized her at a glance.
After carefully taking her pulse and asking about her symptoms, Elissa adjusted the prescription. Seeing the worry on the older woman’s face as she handed over the slip, Elissa smiled comfortingly. “Don’t worry, as long as you keep up with the treatment, you’ll feel better and better.”
During her years at the clinic, Elissa had seen countless patients like this.
Regardless of age, people always panicked when they fell ill.
Because of this, besides prescribing medicine, she had grown accustomed to offering comfort. Sometimes, a single sentence from a doctor was worth a thousand from a family member.
As expected, Lydia showed a faint smile, thanked Elissa, and left with her husband to get the medication.

Elissa knew her mentors treated her like their own daughter.
Feeling a warm glow in her heart, she took the lunch box and asked, “Have you eaten?”
