Mira continued detailing the plan. “Rachel, your mission tomorrow is to stall Eleanor and keep her out as late as possible. Or better yet, book a room at a nearby hotel for the night. Don’t worry about the house; Martha can hold down the fort. If there’s no time to clean, just skip it for a couple of days. If Martha can’t handle the cooking by herself, just call the Solflare Grand Hotel and have them cater. Ugh, I really need to find the time to hire another housekeeper.” With so many people eating there now, the workload was too heavy for just the two of them.
“Rachel, when you have a moment, please hire someone else. I trust your judgment.” Honestly, Mira had asked her to hire extra help ages ago, but Rachel had always been reluctant to spend the money.
Rachel smiled. “Alright, once this blows over, I’ll find someone. Though honestly, the two of us manage just fine most days p>
“Even if you can manage, we need a backup. The second something comes up, you’re stretched too thin. If we hire someone else, you won’t even have to do the manual labor on slower days. You can just manage them p>
“Fine, fine, I’ll do it,” Rachel laughed.
“Tell Martha that you’ll be out tomorrow, and she should just do what she can. And tell Mrs. Higgins to get up early so she can leave with me when I head to class p>
The next morning, when Mira woke up, Rachel and Eleanor were already fully dressed and ready to go.
“You’re up this early?” Typically, Mira, Owen, and their security team were out of bed by five. They would head downstairs for an hour or two of combat training, shower, eat breakfast, and then leave for their day.
Mira and Owen exchanged a look. Since Eleanor was already up, they decided to scrap their morning training due to the special circumstances. They would eat breakfast immediately and get Eleanor out of the house. The earlier, the better— what if Sebastian and Gwen showed up to ambush them at the crack of dawn?
Martha quickly served breakfast. Mira, Owen, and the guards sat down, but Eleanor and Rachel remained seated on the sofa.

“We already did,” Rachel smiled. “Eleanor woke me up at four p>
“Looks like your hype strategy worked flawlessly,” Mira laughed.
“It certainly did. As soon as she heard about the jewelry exhibition, she barely slept a wink all night,” Mrs. Higgins chuckled. In her youth, Eleano had been a renowned e jewelry designer. Unfortunately, her talent hadn’t been passed down; her daughter was a disappointment and her granddaughter was no better. Her son and grandson didn’t seem to meet her expectations either. Mira had wanted to learn the craft, but she simply had no time, and Eleanor was too old to expend the energy teaching.
“Rachel, Mrs. Higgins, take it easy today. If you get tired, sit down and take a break. Grab a coffee or a bite whenever you want. There’s no rush. If you can’t see it all in one day back tomorrow. two days isn’t enough, take three p>
“Don’t worry, Boss. Mission accepted,” Rachel joked.
Before they even finished breakfast, Callum arrived with six elite operatives.
“Have you all eaten?” Mira asked.

After breakfast, Mira and Owen escorted Eleanor’s group out.
As soon as they were gone, Mira turned to Owen. “I’m heading back inside. It’s still early for class, and I want to wait around for a bit. If Sebastian shows up, Martha won’t be able to handle him p>
“True. They’ve hit a brick wall so many times already; they might just show up bright and early. Especially Gwen-she’s practically a professional nuisance,” Owen agreed.
“You head to work. You’ve got a massive day ahead of you. I’ve got plenty of time before class. Being slightly delayed won’t hurt p>
Mira had barely stepped inside and hadn’t even taken off her coat when a sharp knock sounded at the door.
