That night, the Aethelgard Social Forum practically exploded. Someone had uploaded photos of the spectacular aftermath in Mira’s dorm room. Mira figured it had to be one of the student representatives who had come to handle the situation, as the faculty wouldn’t be foolish enough to leak it.
To Mira’s surprise, the backlash was nearly nonexistent. Instead, the student body was overwhelmingly cheering for her.

Clearly, the Sanitation Board had a long history of disrupting the campus peace and launching petty revenge campaigns. The student body was collectively demanding that the university tighten its oversight and completely restructure the Student Council leadership.
The next morning, just as Mira finished getting dressed for training, Dean Garrison called, summoning her to the disciplinary office to finalize the fallout from the previous night.
She made a quick call to Instructor Vance to excuse herself from morning drills and headed out.
“Do you need any help?” Vance offered.
“You want to back me up, Instructor p>

“Alright. Thanks, Instructor,” Mira replied. Given that he had arrived at the university at the same time she did, she highly doubted he had any real connections or influence here.
“You must be Mira. Please, have a seat,” Dean Garrison said, his tone surprisingly polite.
“We’ve reviewed the incident from last night. The audio and video recordings you provided are completely authentic. However, those five students claim you attacked them and used some sort of bizarre method to inflict excruciating pain. Is that true p>
“First of all, I was acting entirely in self-defense. They launched an unprovoked attack on me, and it was five against one. The fact that they lost just means they lacked the skills to pull it off. Secondly, I didn’tuse any bizarre methods.’ Of course it hurt-getting into a fight ‘always hurts. Honestly, I’m probably in more pain than they are p>
Mira’s needle strikes had been lightning-fast. Since she concealed the needles between her fingers, they were practically invisible and left absolutely zero physical marks. Those girls had thought they could get away with assault just because the dorms lacked cameras. They had no one to blame but themselves for the consequences.
With Mira sticking to her story, the dean’s hands were tied. The medical staff genuinely hadn’t found a single bruise or abnormality on any of the five students.
“Also, this incident has completely blown up on the school forum. It’s creating a very negative image. Would you mind issuing a public statement to clarify the situation?” Dean Garrison asked, clearly trying to make her take the fall.
“I scrolled through the forum last night. Everything the students are saying is completely accurate, so there’s nothing to clarify. If anyone needs to offer a public explanation, it should be the Student Council leadership. After all, they were the ones who orchestrated the attack As for the negative image, 1 refrained from calling the police specifically to protect the
university’s reputation. Or would you rather I escalate this so the entire city finds out p>
“Of course not. We definitely need to preserve the school’s honor. You handled it perfectly,” the dean quickly backpedaled. He decided that the five students must have exaggerated their pain just to frame the innocent freshman.
With that, the ordeal was officially laid to rest.

issued a formal statement on the

He announced that the altercation in the girls’ dormitory had been caused by the five students abusing their authority to deliberately harass a peer The Student Council was permanently fevoking their positions and issuing official disciplinary demerits.
