Although most of the students here were from wealthy families, with more options and broader opportunities for development, the better one’s circumstances, the more one valued education.
If they didn’t possess a wide range of knowledge, how could they one day support their vast family empires? Would they just become spoiled heirs who would squander the family fortune?
Having “more options” meant that if they couldn’t get into their ideal university, they could pay for a sponsored spot or choose to study abroad. But these options were generally for students with decent, if not stellar, grades. If their foundation was too poor, they wouldn’t get into top universities at home or abroad, and even if they did, they wouldn’t be able to graduate.
In this exam, Liora and Celine both placed in the top fifty of their grade. Celine scored 650, ranking 18th, while Liora scored 630, ranking 36th.
Harvey ranked 17th. Wesley ranked 10th. His performance had slipped; he used to consistently be in the top three.
Wesley had always been the heartthrob of the school. Despite being clueless about certain things, he was handsome, a great student, and came from a prestigious family.
His final assessment last semester had placed him second in the grade, second only to Mira. At one time, the students all thought they were a match made in heaven, until Mara appeared p>
In this life, however, Mira was no longer marrying him, and Mara hadn’t gotten him either. He had been forced into a family-arranged union with Natalie.
There were about three hundred students in the six senior classes, so their rankings were quite impressive.
Mira scored 139 in Language Arts, 142 in English, and lost 6 points in Biology. She got perfect scores in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
It was a resounding victory, but then again, this was just one monthly exam. Consistently scoring above 700 was no easy feat.
Mara had scored 590, which would have been enough to land her in the top fifty. But after the school’s penalty, her score dropped to 540, not even making it into the top one hundred.
After announcing the exam results, Mr. Harth discussed the upcoming teaching schedule, and then class was dismissed.
“Wow, the little witch is finally gone p>
“We don’t have to listen to her snarky comments anymore p>
After Mr. Harth left, Liora and another girl, Cara, started jumping up and down, and
the other students joined in the cheering.
“With the little witch gone, even the air feels fresher p>
“I’m so happy p>
After school, Mira received a message from Mr. Harth: [There’s an interview. Reporters from Melvion City TV. Come to the main education hall after school p>
[Got it,] Mira quickly replied.
She then called Kieran. “Kieran, I’m not coming to the company today. If there’s anything, we can handle it online tonight p>
Then, she headed toward the education hall.
“Wait p>
Wesley walked over from the side.
“Is there something you need p>
“You seem to be doing just fine after leaving the Mercer family, but you’ve completely messed up my life p>
“Your life has nothing to do with me. Everyone has to take responsibility for their own actions p>
With that, Mira walked away without giving him another glance.
As she walked, Mira thought about the interview. The media was a double edged sword. If used

When Mira arrived, Mr. Harth was already waiting in the hall.
“Mr. Harth, you haven’t gone home p>
“I don’t have a home in Melvion City yet. I’m living in the school dormitory, Me Harth said, leading Mira inside in another root, Mira met two reporters from Melvion City TV’s education channel, Bell@and Declan.
