Having gotten what he wanted, Felix was full of ambition.
With Owen joining the new company, a huge weight was inexplicably lifted from Mira’s shoulders.

That evening, when Mira returned home, Elara was waiting for her.

Not far from Emberline Fine Dining was a night market. People browsing the stalls often came here to eat when they got hungry.

You could eat while watching the lively market scene and hearing the calls of the vendors.

The two girls sat down at a stall selling savory crepes.

“Elara, I’ll just have two savory crepes and a bowl of porridge p>
“We’ll take four savory crepes and two bowls of porridge,” Elara called out to the vendor.

Before long, the vendor brought their food. The crepes were fried to a golden, crispy perfection, with two leaves of green lettuce tucked inside. They looked appetizing.
Without another word, they each picked one up and began to eat.
“Mira, no wonder you wanted to eat this. It’s delicious! I have to bring my dad here to try it next time p>

Mira had actually chosen this place to save Elara money. It was tasty and
inexpensive; a few dollars per person was more than enough.
If they had gone to a proper restaurant, a single dish would have cost more than ten dollars each.

Mira wasn’t sure if she truly understood, but she decided to leave it at that. It wasn’t her place to get into the specifics.
Meanwhile, when Natalie found out the news that afternoon, she was furious.
Without consulting her family, she immediately arranged to meet with Mara.
When Mara heard Natalie wanted to see her, the embers of defiance in her heart roared back to life.
This was exactly what she had been waiting for.
She would flaunt her situation in front of Natalie, add some fuel to the fire, and maybe she could anger her enough to break things off with Wesley for good.
Mara was confident. After all, she had successfully used this tactic on Mira before. With just a little trick, that fool Mira had broken up with Wesley.
Natalie didn’t want to make a big scene. She simply invited Mara to a private room at a café and made sure the security camera was covered.
