The previous class president had been Wesley. It seemed this new teacher had already done his research on the class.
“That’s alright. You’ll have subject representatives to help. You just need to handle the overall coordination,” Mr. Harth said. He knew that Mira was a famous pop star and certainly had other commitments.
“Alright,” Mira agreed.
They were in the digital age now, so many announcements could be sent directly to the class group chat.
“If you’re worried about the time commitment, you can get a vice president to help. How about your deskmate, Elara, takes the position p>
“I… I can’t,” Elara immediately refused.
“Sir, you may not know this, but Elara has a part-time job outside of school. She might not be able to help me p>
“You’re only in high school and you already have part-time jobs p>
“Most of the other students probably don’t. It’s just that our situations are a bit special,” Mira said, then looked around at the other students. “Liora, how about you be the vice president p>
Liora had an outgoing personality and strong all-around skills, making her a good fit for the role. Besides, being a class officer was a good way to gain experience and would be beneficial for her personal growth.
Next, Mr. Harth was about to announce the scores. Just as he picked up the results sheet, Mara raised her hand.
“Excuse me, where’s Ms. Crowe p>
She had worked so hard to get on Evelyn Crowe’s good side; she didn’t want a new homeroom teacher.
“First, I don’t know anyone named Evelyn Crowe. Second, this is a classroom. Please refrain from asking about matters unrelated to our studies and wasting everyone’s time. You’re Mara, correct? By the way, I should inform you that your language arts score has been docked 50 points. This is the school’s punishment for you. If you don’t understand, you can go to the dean’s office for an explanation after class p>
“Why?” Mara asked, her face cold.

“Get out. This is a classroom, not a place for you to throw a tantrum,” Mr. Harth said
dismissively. She was clearly just a spoiled rich girl.
“You just wait. I’ll make sure you don’t last at Melvion Central High,” Mara
threatened as she stormed out.

Unexpectedly, even at a time like this, Wesley suddenly spoke up.
In Mira’s eyes, it was clear he still had lingering feelings for Mara. His relationship
with Natalie wasn’t genuine; it was just an arrangement for their families.
“Wesley, watch yourself. My patience has its limits,” Harvey couldn’t help but interject.
“I didn’t mean anything by it. I was just trying to stop her,” Wesley said, realizing he had acted purely on impulse.
Mara’s threat, however, didn’t faze Mr. Harth in the slightest.
“For this monthly exam, our class ranked first among all six senior classes. This shows that everyone has been studying diligently. I

Although he hadn’t been involved in teaching them up to this point, he felt a sense
