“Mr. Morrison—stop!” Rylan’s voice rang out sharply as he attempted to intervene. However, his efforts were futile.
Dorian had already consumed the drink in one smooth motion, leaving Rylan speechless and filled with anxiety. What would happen if Dorian realized the drink had been spiked?
“That’s quite the selection, Mr. Wilson. Tastes excellent,” Dorian said coolly, placing the empty glass on the table, seemingly oblivious to any tampering.
Rylan’s discomfort was evident as he struggled to find the right words. “Mr. Morrison, I need to explain about that drink—it was actually…” He trailed off, unable to admit the truth. The drink had been meant for Valeria.

Valeria’s eyes darted towards him, her expression souring. Despite a pang of regret, Dorian maintained his composure.

Despite the uncomfortable situation she found herself in, a part of her still worried about Dorian’s well-being. Surveying the suite, which was filled with women dressed in glamorous attire, she felt completely out of place. She started toward the exit.
