When they finally reached a sprawling estate, someone blindfolded them. They were then thrown into what felt like a cold, underground warehouse.
When the blindfolds were finally yanked off, they found themselves face to face with someone they never expected. It was Helena. She looked ghostly pale, her soft, honest eyes strangely out of place in the harsh, empty space of the warehouse.
The second Maisie laid eyes on her, most of the fear she’d been holding onto simply melted away.
