Shock registered in Dorian’s eyes as they widened. In that fleeting moment, the last fragment of his sanity crumbled away. Unable to restrain himself any longer, he enveloped Valeria in his arms and gently lowered her onto the soft bed. They remained intertwined as the night unfolded.
As dawn’s gentle light crept in, Dorian gradually woke up.
Valeria had left, yet the echoes of the previous night lingered vividly in his mind.

This journey into her subconscious was unlike her previous experiences. The familiar gloomy, gray scenery and ominous shadows were absent. Instead, Helena found herself in a luminous field, blanketed with yellow roses.
