With a sly grin, Henrik strutted over to Helena and trapped her in a quiet corner while Liliana chatted elsewhere.
“Henrik, your fiancée is right over there. What do you think you’re doing?” Helena tried to slip away, but Henrik blocked every exit, making her glare at him sharply.
“So what if I’ve got a fiancée? Helena, you really think a man like me—successful and powerful—would settle for just one woman?” Henrik said, tilting his head down and inching his face closer to hers. That face, once handsome in her eyes, now looked twisted and disgusting to Helena.
“Get lost, you filthy scoundrel!” she barked, fury flashing in her eyes.
To her shock, Henrik just laughed instead of losing his temper. “Helena, it doesn’t matter if the Harrison family doesn’t want you. I do. Stay with me, and I swear you’ll live like a queen, just like you used to.” He lifted his eyebrows with bold confidence, his hand boldly settling on her waist.
