Alden was on the verge of asking Lucas to step aside so they could leave. But Lucas, still grinning, went on, “Even so, someone as gifted as Helena doesn’t belong at a place like Genie TV. If she’s up for it, Nexus TV would welcome her back with open arms. Any role she wants, any pay—just say the word. No questions asked p>

Startled, Lucas sprang out of the way and could only watch as the sleek car roared off, leaving him in the dust.
