She was in Lucas’s office, feeling uneasy about her role in covering the partnership between the Wilson Group and Star Wish Investments. “Mr. Morrison, it appears I was mistaken about the CEO of Star Wish Investments. I’d very much appreciate the opportunity to meet him,” he said in a convincing tone. “I’d like to personally express my gratitude for his intervention in our projects, which greatly benefited the Wilson Group. Alden was the figure lounging behind the expansive desk. On noticing Rylan, he simply nodded without rising, his demeanor dripping with disdain.
