When they reached the apartment, Alden remained polite and courteous but kept a certain distance. It wasn’t at all like the easy warmth and quiet eagerness he showed when talking to Albert.
Natalie’s frustration started to build, but with her daughter there, she worked hard to keep it under control.
Alden, however, was sharp as ever. He quickly noticed Natalie’s disapproval, but all he gave her in return was a polite, detached smile. He didn’t try to change his ways. He understood that the couple held a grudge against him because of Helena, and he was fine with their chilly attitude. Still, that didn’t mean he didn’t have his own thoughts about them. After all, Helena had spent years as an orphan, and the struggles she faced afterward—they were partly responsible for that.
Kareem held onto his cold attitude, but Alden’s calm and collected demeanor surprisingly made a good impression. Alden’s business was already thriving, but with the Harrison family’s backing, it could reach even greater heights. Still, Alden made no move to win them over, showing that his relationship with Helena was real, with no hidden agenda.

“I actually enjoy living here!” Helena quickly interrupted, not wanting Alden to take the fall for Kareem’s misunderstanding.

Alden didn’t respond, but his silence spoke volumes.
Helena furrowed her brow, her tone filled with worry. “That place is so far from Star Wish Investments—it’s a whole hour! And I’m still just at the group interview phase at Genie TV; I might not even make the cut p>
