Right outside the bar, Kristine was being ushered toward a Rolls-Royce by a man who was, remarkably, even more striking than he was. That face — Cameron was certain he had seen it before. Recognition struck him moments later. Colton. The wealthiest man in Gridron, and the nation’s youngest billionaire.
Three years back, following the accident that had left Asher in a wheelchair, his two half-brothers had fought bitterly for the right to claim that title. Yet, against all expectations, Colton had taken it. The youngest billionaire distinction had historically always gone to someone from one of the major cities — Peudon, Shuomore, or Kromburn — and for the first time, Gridron had produced the winner. For three years running, Colton had continued to hold that distinction.
But what left Cameron truly baffled was how the woman Asher cared about could possibly be connected to Colton. He turned the name over in his mind — Kristine — and then, as realization dawned, stared in disbelief at the road where the Rolls-Royce had already vanished.
Even with all his life experience, only one thought came to him: Asher had fallen for Colton’s most devoted admirer.
Inside the car, Kristine fought with everything she had, but Colton’s grip was unyielding. She felt utterly powerless, trapped and furious as she struggled against his hold. Desperation overtook her, and she lashed out, hoping to break free.
Colton anticipated the move and pressed his palm firmly against her forehead. Burning with anger, Kristine had no choice but to push against his hand, spending her fury in a struggle she couldn’t win.

The moment she had stepped out of the bar, she had run straight into him. Keeping his expression cold, he had told her the show needed to be re-filmed and that Elyse had to be declared the winner. Hearing that, Kristine had nearly laughed from sheer fury. She turned to walk away — and Colton had seized her and forced her into the car.
“It is only first place,” Colton said, gripping her wrist, his brow furrowed. “Why are you so obsessed with it p>
“If it means nothing, then why does Elyse care so desperately about winning?” Kristine shot back with a mocking laugh.
The tension between them sharpened visibly. After a brief silence, Colton’s voice turned crisp. “Pull over p>
Bobby immediately steered the car to the side of the road.
Kristine seized the opportunity and reached for the door handle.
Before she could get out, Colton’s voice rang out behind her, hard and commanding. “This show will be filmed again — and you will participate, whether you like it or not p>
No sooner had Colton spoken than the car door slammed shut and the vehicle sped away, leaving Kristine standing on the curb. She watched it vanish down the street, her eyes cooling.
Colton would do anything for Elyse’s sake. But he was living in a fantasy. There was no chance she would ever agree to reshoot that segment. Kristine flagged down a taxi and went home, refusing to waste another thought on it.
