She reached in, drew one slip at random, and unfolded it.

Devin moved quickly to put the plan in motion, terrified that if he gave either man another minute together, the whole thing would collapse into violence. It was only once Asher had been released and was gone from the property that Devin finally allowed himself to breathe.
