Kristine gave him a reassuring smile. “The doctor said I just need to rest. Don’t worry — I’ll be fine. Go on p>
“Alright.” He said it gently, then made his way to the door.
Downstairs, Tripp was already waiting at the entrance.

He had arrived early but, out of respect, had stayed on the ground floor rather than going up. Asher acknowledged him with a nod, though his eyes lingered on the building for a moment, lost in thought.
After a pause, he turned to Tripp. “I want you to arrange for a caregiver to look after Kristine. If she asks, tell her it’s part of the hospital’s standard service p>
Tripp looked puzzled for a second, then gave a quick nod. “Understood p>
“And one more thing.” Asher stopped him from closing the car door. “Find out exactly what Monica said to Kristine during her visit p>
“Will do,” Tripp replied, studying Asher with quiet curiosity.
