Chapter 251:
All day, Amelia sat in silent anticipation, half-expecting Ricky to make a move, but he did nothing.
Only as office lights dimmed and staff packed up did Ricky finally show himself in her office.
Amelia barely managed to speak when he said, βSince youβre officially a member of the company, you need to meet a few important partners. Trust me, this will help with your projects down the line p>
Without waiting for her reply, he revealed that dinner plans were already set and made it clear she needed to go with him.
Any excuse Amelia considered was swept away by his insistence, leaving her with no choice but to give in.

When they reached the car, she turned down his offer to ride together. He didnβt seem bothered by it at all.
Watching his reaction, Amelia started to wonder what game he was playing. The moment her car rolled out of the lot, her phone lit up with a video call from Wyatt.
She answered and wasted no time sharing the strange way Ricky had been acting.
Wyatt frowned, clearly unsettled. βIf things look too perfect, thereβs probably something more to them. No matter where your father drags you, keep the bodyguards close p>
βIβve got the bodyguards with me, so donβt worry,β Amelia said.
Despite her assurances, Wyatt added, βPromise me youβll call me right away if anything happens p>
He only hung up after hearing Amelia agree.
Right after the call ended, Wyatt phoned Davin, pressing him for updates on Rickyβs movements. Learning that nothing seemed out of line only made Wyatt more anxious.
βKeep an eye on him. Let me know immediately if anything seems off,β he instructed.
As the car stopped at an upscale restaurantβs entrance, Amelia was surprised to spot Ricky waiting for her. This didnβt seem like him at all.
Ricky saw her approach and said in a calm voice, βCome on. Iβll show you upstairs p>
With her bodyguards close behind, Amelia trailed after him into a private dining room.
As soon as they entered, Ricky leaned in and murmured to Amelia, βThese clients in there are a big deal. It wouldnβt look right to have the bodyguards in the room p>
A handful of people were already seated inside, and from what Rocco had told her, Amelia knew these were indeed high-profile clients of the Flynn Group. Knowing Ricky wouldnβt pull any tricks with so many eyes watching, Amelia paused, then said to the head bodyguard, βWait for me outside the door p>
The head bodyguard hesitated for a moment before saying, βMrs. Stewart, Mr. Stewart has ordered us not to leave your side under any circumstances p>
βYou can wait by the door. Youβll be able to hear everything inside,β Amelia said.
Without much conviction, the bodyguard gave in and led his team out of the room.
Once Amelia sat down, dinner officially began.
Throughout the meal, Ricky couldnβt hide his excitement as he made sure to introduce Amelia to each client. Amelia could almost believe he was a proud father helping his daughter if she didnβt know better.
Still, given how much Ricky was supporting her now, Amelia knew better than to turn down his efforts.
Laughter and pleasant conversation filled the room, and when a client tried to push a drink toward Amelia, Ricky even spoke up right away, putting a stop to it. By the time everyone was getting ready to leave, nothing out of the ordinary had taken place, and Amelia caught herself wondering if her suspicions had been misplaced.
In the days that followed, Ricky kept inviting Amelia to business dinners after work, each time introducing her to new faces.
These dinners continued. Soon, Denny arrived in Kretol.
At Souls.
Amelia never forgot the help Denny had given her during the Summit Capital project, so when he called to meet up, she agreed without a second thought. For their meeting, Amelia picked Souls, thinking it was perfect considering Dennyβs identity.
As they settled into their seats, Sanford walked into the private room wearing his chefβs uniform. βAmelia, I didnβt expect to see you here. And this gentlemanβ is he a friend of yours p>
Sizing up Denny while speaking, Sanford tried to keep things casual. Because of Wyatt, Amelia and Sanford had become well-acquainted, so she introduced Denny to him with an easy smile.
Sanfordβs appraisal might have been subtle, but Denny, who had spent years navigating the business world, caught on immediately. When Sanfordβs stare grew more obvious, Denny looked him right in the eye without flinching.
Suddenly awkward, Sanford dropped his gaze and smiled, saying, βMr. Williamson, since youβve come such a long way to see Amelia, let me make sure you feel welcome here, since I am close to her and her husband p>
Catching Sanfordβs pointed mention of Ameliaβs husband, Denny replied with a cool smile, βAmelia and I go way back. You donβt need to put on any special treatment for me, Mr. Chapman p>
Despite being single, Sanfordβs gut told him that Dennyβs interest in Amelia was anything but simple. Once he stepped out of the room, he wasted no time and called Wyatt.
The moment Wyatt picked up, Sanford blurted out, βWyatt, you need to get over here fast. Thereβs someone making a move on your wife p>
