Since dawn, Wyatt had been Amelia’s shadow, trailing her every step.
Even when she slipped into the bathroom, he lingered just outside the door.
If she took too long, he would knock on the door and ask if she was okay.
For the first time, Amelia found Wyatt a bit clingy.
She couldn’t help but long for the days when her husband’s cool, distant demeanor gave her space to breathe.
