Just as Davin was about to speak, there was a knock at the door. At Wyatt’s gesture, Davin went to open the door.
“Mr. Stewart, Amelia is here to see you,” Matias said.

Since Amelia’s resignation from the Stewart Group, Matias had stepped into her role. Other than Davin, he was the one who interacted most with Wyatt in the company.

Amelia’s formal tone made Wyatt’s eyes turn intense slightly, and something unreadable flickered in them.

He then led Amelia to the adjoining conference room, and at her request, called in two senior executives of the company.
When everyone had taken their seats, Amelia laid a proposal on the table — thoroughly prepared, tailored to the town’s conditions, and complete with a detailed development plan.
Back when she had worked as Wyatt’s secretary, Amelia had prepared the development blueprint for the resort in Prevda. This time, the project was on a much grander scale, and she wasn’t certain whether her plan would meet Wyatt’s expectations.
Amelia’s gaze followed him as he turned page after page.
Wyatt’s silence after he finished reading the proposal pressed on her, and the longer it lasted, the tighter the knot in her stomach grew.
