Chapter 238:
The next morning, Amelia finished signing the resignation papers from the Stewart Group, then reached for her phone to call Dalia. When Dalia answered, Amelia jumped right into business. She shared her intention to take back the Flynn Group and requested Dalia’s help setting up a meeting with the board members.
Since Katrina’s death, Ricky had filled the boardroom with his own loyalists. Getting those sixty percent shares back would be the only way for Amelia to reclaim the Flynn Group. Unfortunately, the shares remained under the board’s tight grip, and Amelia knew she would need most of their votes before she could get them.
“Amelia, every board member answers to Ricky now. If I arrange a meeting with them for you, you know word will get straight to him p>
“That’s fine,” said Amelia, her voice calm and steady.
She had already prepared for a confrontation with Ricky, so she wasn’t worried about news reaching him.
Dalia moved quickly. Within an hour, Amelia’s phone buzzed with a message containing an address. The message prompted her to slip into a fresh outfit and grab her bag before heading downstairs to leave.
Meanwhile, Wyatt lounged in the living room, typing away on his laptop. The sound of Amelia’s footsteps drew his eyes to the staircase. He couldn’t help but be impressed by Amelia’s new look.
Back at the Stewart Group, Amelia’s usual attire had always leaned toward understated blacks and whites—professional but never bold. Today, her outfit was different. Her royal blue suit, paired with a matching necklace and earrings, gave her a look that was both daring and elegant.
“That color looks incredible on you. Really brings out your confidence,” Wyatt remarked.
Amelia had been worried the outfit might come across as too bold, but Wyatt’s words gave her a spark of happiness. Her good mood didn’t last long. The sight of Wyatt’s laptop snapped her back to concern.
“Dr. Chapman gave you strict orders to rest. Yet here you are, working again. If you keep this up, I’ll tell Dr. Chapman about this,” she said.

Wyatt didn’t argue. He snapped his laptop shut and stood, walking toward her. “I’ll take a break, alright?” he said, wrapping his arms around her. He stole a kiss before she could even protest.
Amelia knew Wyatt was trying to stop her from saying anything more and nudged him away, smiling. “Stop it, Wyatt. I need to leave.” She then quickly filled him in on her meeting with the Flynn Group’s board members, ready to rush out. But Wyatt held her back, his fingers curling gently around hers.
“Wait, there’s something you need to know,” he said, his voice serious. “It concerns the Flynn Group p>
Hearing the gravity in his tone, Amelia paused and looked at him.
