“Do you honestly believe I can’t see right through you? I know exactly why you’re saying these things to me. You just want to rile me up p>
While Ricky never claimed to be the sharpest, his years as CEO of the Flynn Group had taught him to recognize Janessa’s tactics from a mile away. Before Janessa could say something to defend herself, Ricky continued, “I’ll hand you my shares, but on one condition p>
“What condition?” Janessa asked instinctively, only realizing that her eagerness was too obvious when she saw Ricky’s mocking gaze.
After a moment of silence, Ricky murmured a few words to her.

Whatever he said made Janessa’s face tighten with mixed emotions.
Leaving the prison, Janessa returned to the downtown house in a daze. As she reached the door, she heard Dayna arguing with someone inside.
Janessa rushed in to find her belongings thrown across the floor. Dayna’s attention was fixed on Rocco, her glare sharp enough to cut glass.
Janessa turned to Rocco with a cold look. “What exactly are you doing here?” Though Ricky was imprisoned, Rocco, having been his assistant for years, continued to show his usual respect to Janessa since she was Ricky’s wife.
“Mrs. Flynn, your husband bought this house with company money that didn’t belong to him. Since he’s locked up now, the company needs to take back the house, so you’ll need to find somewhere else to stay,” Rocco said.
After listening to Rocco, Dayna snapped, “Don’t start acting like you own the place just because you work for Amelia now! Have you forgotten how you were groveling at my dad’s feet before? Now, you p>
“That’s enough, Dayna!” Janessa interjected, tugging her aside to put an end to her tirade.
Dayna glared at Rocco, anger still smoldering in her eyes, but seeing Janessa’s stern look, she said nothing more.
Janessa, showing none of Dayna’s stubbornness, simply agreed to move out without argument.
Right as Rocco headed for the door to leave, Janessa called out to him, “Rocco, do you remember the time I helped you out p>
Back when Rocco had fainted on the street after working late three years ago, Janessa had happened to pass by and had her driver take him to a hospital. Before Rocco could reply, Janessa added, “Since I helped you once, I’d like you to return the favor now p>
Rocco looked at her with wary eyes, unsure of what she wanted.
